A versatile icing that takes only minutes to make. You can substitute any pudding flavor the the vanilla. Excellent frosting for the Angel Food Pineapple Cake. Original recipe yields 3 cups.
INGREDIENTS:
1 (1.3 ounce) envelope whipped topping mix (Dream Whip, etc.)
1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 1/2 cups milk
DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl, stir together whipped topping mix, pudding mix and milk.
Using electric mixer, beat on high speed for 15 minutes or until icing is of spreading consistency.
Chill until ready to use.
I thought directions said to freeze bowl and beaters before mixing on original recipe. I do remember it was delicious on angel food cake.
ReplyDeleteI have never made it that way but would say it would help it set up a little faster. I may try it next time I make it and see. :)
